MentorMe is open to all City of Greensboro employees who receive recommendations from their supervisors. Mentoring programs provide immeasurable benefits. For mentees, mentors can be extremely beneficial in providing the guidance and support you need during the learning and development phase of your career.
A mentor’s wisdom can help to improve your understanding of the work environment, increase your professional skills and boost your confidence. Additionally, mentors play a critical role in helping to establish goals and chart the direction of your career. Mentors receive benefits such as further development of leadership and communication skills, increased visibility and respect as a leader and a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. In addition to the intangible benefits, MentorMe mentors who successfully complete the certification and all other requirements of the program, will earn eight hours of paid time off as a reward for their commitment to helping others develop and grow. Lastly, both mentees and mentors will be granted access to professional development workshops and networking opportunities specifically designed to enhance their skills and help advance their careers.
